Library · Meeting of October 13, 2026
Berlin Library Trustees rated the library director's performance "exceeds expectations" across every category and began weighing a possible capital project for worn library carpet and flooring. Library Director Victoria said a facilities contact, Fred, is securing a quote to replace carpet and wood flooring, which "if that quote is large enough" could qualify as a town capital project; one trustee noted the carpet hadn't been redone in "like 15 years." Trustees unanimously accepted the minutes, director's report and financial report, and set the next meeting for November 9 at 6:30 p.m. A town-center trick-or-treating event sponsored by the library is planned for October 30 from 6 to 8 p.m.
Trustees also flagged a joint Massachusetts Library Trustees Association and Friends of the Library conference November 21 at the Worcester Public Library.
