Community Preservation Act Committee · Meeting of August 4, 2026

Berlin's CPA Committee reported it has signed a contract with MetroWest Collaborative Development to advertise the town's down payment assistance program. Members also approved $1,750 in annual Community Preservation Coalition dues for fiscal year 2027 and rearranged the fall calendar, canceling a September 15 session so Chair Maureen can finish the state-required CP3 report before travel, adding a September 29 meeting instead. The Historical Commission reported the Bullard House restoration remains stalled after its architect declined further municipal work, with Ellie saying "the poor Bullard House is never ever going to get beyond talking." A Recreation Committee liaison said a new playground should go up this fall, while members flagged an unresolved question over who now owns sign-off responsibility for a CPA-funded pavilion project after a prior contact left the Recreation Committee.
