BERLIN — The Berlin Board of Assessors heard a resident's appeal over a farm tax reclassification. Chair Kevin Pond and member Roger Bradley listened as a resident identified as Keith argued his small horse operation shouldn't lose its Chapter 61A agricultural tax status after a Department of Revenue flag last year linked to a farm website. Assessing staff member Linda Berisha said she will inspect the property before any change takes effect.
"This isn't one area. We try and do the same thing for everybody in the town," Pond said. The board reviewed a $606,851.67 motor vehicle excise commitment before entering executive session on a Solomon Pond Mall tax appeal.
