Once DEP responds, Tyan Bond said it could mobilize within two to four days to hand-dig test holes while the ground is still soft. The board also confirmed that a mold problem at Rockwell Apartments — traced to improperly installed heating and cooling equipment in one building — has been corrected, and noted that variance hearings for 102 Derby Street and 320 Old Central Street will be scheduled in coming weeks. Early budget planning is underway, and a replacement storage shed estimated at $8,000 to $10,000, plus up to $3,000 in electrical work, is likely to wait for the next capital budget cycle.
