Community Preservation Act Committee · Meeting of April 7, 2026
Berlin's Community Preservation Act Committee closed a brief public hearing and unanimously adopted its annual Community Preservation Plan. No residents attended the April 7 hearing on the state-required planning document, which guides CPA spending on housing, open space, recreation and historic preservation. Members Beth, Terry, Ellie, Carolyn, MJ and Tim confirmed support by roll call for both closing the hearing and accepting the plan.
Staff member Maureen said a new progress-report tracking tool will go out to project leads in June to flag delayed or canceled projects. Tim said years-old, unfinished projects are "tying up CPA money" the committee could otherwise redirect. A resident named Lexi is expected to join the committee, replacing an outgoing member tied to the Conservation Commission, with the panel's next meeting set for May 19.
